How I Create
Outstanding Paintings
Teachers
Patricia Guzmán is a Mexican painter. She focuses on realistic portraits in watercolor, oil and acrylic. Her workshop helped me to learn the wet-on-wet technique and how to add on layers to create depth, rich colors and texture. I dared to start working on portraits thanks to her teachings and encouragement. Patricia is a sweet and geneorus teacher that creates a sense of community and belonging among her students. She teaches online and live classes.
She is a Mexican painter working on watercolor, oil and mixed media. On her workshop we are encouraged to explore different mediums and techniques. Thanks to her workshops I opened to a brighter and stronger palette and to take bigger risks while painting, how to workaround my mistakes and approach painting with joy and curiosity. Malac is extremely kind and patient and class sessions are a delightful experience, full of good talk and music. She teaches live classes in Queretaro.
My very first encounter with watercolor was through her online classes. I had zero experience with watercolor and her step-by-step tutorials took me from basic paintings to complex subjects, learning color mixing, how to approach different values, the importance of a good drawing and how to create texture. Anna is based in the UK and her online school is always renewing and adding value to her students and has created a supportive and friendly community with thousands of students.
Dylan is American artist focused on watercolor. His work revolves around portraits and animals with soft colors and textures. His online classes teach how to execute watercolor techniques (wet-on-wet, loose borders, etc) and use them to convey an expressive subject. I loved his detailed approach to paint and yet the soft flowing results he achieves. Dylan is very kind and also likes to engage with his students and provides live sessions where his students can paint along with him and ask questions.
